The Nerds deliver another batch of awesomely evil hymns on their second full length, A Black Star Burning Trails To Nowhere. This release is faster, heavier, and certainly won't disappoint. In addition to the many new tracks, the Nerds re-recorded "Satan's Rise", which was previously only available on 7", split with the Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13. These Italian heathens draw a heavy influence from Antiseen, early Dwarves, and other American perv punk bands, but with just a little more Book of Revelations plus blood and guts. Whether it's hardcore punk you crave ("Harder Than Life") or straight up hard rock ("Fresh Meat For Hungry People"), the Nerds have crafted it well. After several 7" splits and comps over the years, it's great to hear a new full CD worth of Nerds. Pick this one up and go sacrifice some virgins already. | ||
